I love this place! Staff is friendly and efficient. I always get the small chicken Pho or the pork bunh mi - both are really tasty and filling. Priced nicely too.

I couldn't tell if it was the weather,,,,? In the rainy, chilly, afternoon, way passed the lunch time we went in with our empty tummies. It's our first pho together, me and someone special. Can this be an illusion,,,,,,? Is the situation too perfect,,,!? I don't know,,,, But the pho is pretty fckn good! When was the last time I truly finished my small pho? I can't remember,,,,and today, I did. So yes, I'll be coming back.

Small restaurant, but the food quality is excellent and the service is top awesome.

I really like this place its good food and friendly service.

I'm so surprised that this restaurant gets such high reviews! Perhaps their pho is good, but their fresh spring rolls and noodle bowls are bland beyond belief. The peanut sauce had crushed peanuts on the top, but had absolutely no flavor (other than a slightly sweet aftertaste) - I didn't know that was possible. I'm very sad to say that this is the worst Vietnamese food I've ever had and I will not return.

We live in Mercer Island and this place is really good..especially in winters it gets full in here with families and couples..owner is very helpful..in our last visit we ordered a phadthai and it was not that great as it used to be. when we asked the owner about it ,he was happy to take our feedback and canceled the order..

  • Carla R.

Very clean establishment in a nice area. Quick, large portions and fresh ingredients. The odd one was the tempura shrimp app, which wasn't very 'tempura' as I know and love it. Good though - just not as expected. And they serve BUBBLE TEA!

    (3)
  • Sherry S.

Their pho was pretty good. I liked the fat that they make the beef broth oil fat or whatever an option on the side. It was overall good, but loses one star because it wasn't great.

  • Michael L.

I had the chicken pho, and it was extremely good. Very tasty! The owners were extremely friendly and the place has a very trendy comfortable atmosphere. Only downside is the price is 2 - 3 dollars higher then other Pho places. But you get what you pay for!

I have been going to I love Pho on Mercer Island for like the past 5 years. Their menu has stayed the same and I really appreciate that. They honestly have the best spring rolls (not deep fried) that I have ever had. Their pho is not greasy at all and really the best pho in town in my opinion. All of their ingredients are fresh and the service is friendly enough. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone craving a good bowl of pho or any other Vietnamese food.

what the pho... not only is this place good pho ya... the place is clean and the setting is comfortable... the family that owns this place is awesome....

Not only do I love Pho, but I love "I love Pho" This is my favorite Pho hands down and I've tried a good number of them. They also have some good rice dishes - garlic prawns. Also, yummy sandwiches - probably because they are filled with some mayo sauce. Although sometimes the sandwich bread is a bit tough.

Fast. Fresh. Love the pho. Adore the chicken salad. Addicted to the sandwiches.

  • A B.

Yum. I love that they have a diverse menu and their pho is fantastic. Some have complained about having to add their sauces to the broth, but I like to do that because you can adjust it to your taste. Beef is always well prepared and your food always comes out in a timely manner. I also like that they ask if you would like extra veggies in your pho, its a really nice addition. The Thai food here is better than the other Thai places on the Island.

I live in Fremont and there are plenty of pho restaurants near here (we all know of them), but I Love Pho is worth the trip for me. Not only are they better than all the other joints, they have a great setup and friendly, fast service (but not fast like in "fast food", I mean fast as in "fast awesome", you get your delicious bowl of hot pho almost as soon as you walk in, like they know what you were thinking and cooked it just for you). I've taken numerous friends, dates, and visiting family here and have never been let down. I've been a regular customer for several years now, and I'm happy to say that I will continue to be enjoying I Love Pho until I retire or become a mega millionaire and move to Spain! (or unless the rain drives me crazy and I move to California - but then, I'd still probably fly back up to Seattle just to have lunch at I Love Pho on Mercer Island, cuz it's that good.)

  • Dean K.

Very good food. My wife and I eat Pho here or take out all the time. The sandwiches are also very good. The ambience isn't the best, but the food makes up for it.

    (4)
  • Michael L.

Convenient if you're stranded on a island or too lazy to go anywhere else. The soup is bland and watery here. Portion size is good for the cost. I would avoid

This place is alright, and as (I think) the only Vietnamese place on the North end of the island, it's decent if you don't want to go far to get your Vietnamese food. That being said, it's just mediocre in the purest sense of the word. Nothing outstanding, and just okay amount of food for the price. I had the Saigon style chicken and rice, and it tasted good, but was just your average soy sauce/oyster sauce-like dish that you could find at any old Asian restaurant. Nothing special. The pho is also mediocre. In the Seattle area, where there is so much good pho and other Vietnamese food to be found, you just can't get away with mediocrity. If you want pho, get yourself to any of the numerous Pho Than Brothers around the area, and if you want other Vietnamese options, get yourself to Tamarind Tree. It's not far to go, and it's just so much better.

I'd give this place 3.5 stars. The restaurant itself is clean; parking is readily available; the staff are friendly and efficient; the menu is quite extensive as well. I was really pleased to see that they offered vegetarian pho (not pho with veggies). I am not a strict vegetarian by any means; however, I do appreciate when a pho restaurant offers vegetarian broth. I ordered a vegetarian pho with fake chicken and extra veggies (+ $1.75 or so). The food came out pretty quickly. Although I had better vegetarian broth before, all in all, I was pleased with the quality and quantity of the pho. My only complaint is that the bowl they use is really small. It is hard to mix everything in after dumping all the bean sprouts, jalapeno slices, and basil leaves without spilling something. Maybe they intentionally use smaller bowls so that they don't need to fill it up with lots of soup, but I felt really crowded struggling to pick up some noodles with slippery chopsticks and a soup spoon without losing any veggies. Although my pho was a bit pricey and definitely not the best, I'd eat there again in a pinch.

This place is my hot spot to go when I have a hangover. The pho here works wonders with curing hangovers. Their soup is not too oily like other places and their portions are pretty big. Aside from the pho, the spring rolls and papaya salads are very fresh and flavorful. The Vietnamese coffee here tastes amazing (give it a shot!) and their Vietnamese sandwiches are perfect for lunches, the size of the sandwiches are pretty big and is only about $5 and taste amazing! The food comes out pretty fast and the service is good. Staff consistently comes around to check on you and refill your water.

  • Vanessa R.

I love the extremely fast service! Food is delicious and there's a reason why I always come back here! :)

Best pho on mercer island. One of the best in the Seattle area. Enough said.

    (5)
  • Alejandro B.

If you expand your search to Bellevue or greater Seattle I am sure you may find a better option. But this is a solid establishment with great Pho and great Vietnamese sandwiches. Great service and good food. Love it.

  • E A.

I've never really liked the food at any of the ILP restaurants and this place is no different. Last time I ordered the Phad Thai and it didn't taste like regular Phad Thai - not awful, but just not good. Also, the servers are not the best. One time it was near closing and they just sat there WAITING for us to leave. RUDE.

  • Lia T.

I Love Pho is a great option for your pho cravings, especially if you are in a hurry. Even during a rush, my food usually comes in 10 minutes or less. I Love Pho has an extensive menu, but I generally get the veggie pho. The broth is great, and the veggies are fresh. I've also had some of their stir fry items, which were tasty as well. The location is pretty small, but I can't remember ever having to wait for a table. There is plenty of parking.

    (4)
  • Leif H.

Avoid everything besides the pho. That's all I have to say about that. Now on to the pho. It is good despite what others are saying. The broth is flavorful and they give a generous portion of meat. In terms of what's available on the island, it's the best pho place. Staff is friendly and very quick. Fine for a quick/average pho lunch. Biggest complaint...they don't refill your water! Who do no pho places do that???

    (3)
  • The B.

Great Pho. The broth is the best on the Eastside in my opinion. I enjoyed the shrimp Pho and spring rolls. The service was fast and efficient which is very appreciated when in a hurry. One of my favorite places.

    (4)
  • Conner W.

I Love Pho has a very friendly staff and their food is deliciously consistent. My one big gripe is that they never fill their sandwiches all the way. Many times they are cold, too.

    (4)
  • Diane S.

Whenever its cold out, like its been lately I love going here for food! perfect thing to fill you up and warm you up. its pretty quick to get your food and i love to tofu pho. its so good. great comfort food for the soul Also lots of vegetarian options and broths!!!!

Pretty good as far as quality goes, since it's on Mercer Island and there a definite perceptible quality standard that's higher than most other locales. I was also at first surprised by the prices given that Than Bros and International District has spoiled me a bit with their rock bottom, no-frills pho, and also a little alarmed that they told me my pho would take 15-20 minutes to arrive since they were busy (On a Wednesday for lunch?). The waitress/ hostess was constantly on the phone or disinterested-looking, preoccupied with her iPhone, which also seemed troubling. But those fears were soon put to rest. They give you more than I thought the small bowl would constitute, as the bowl is pretty deep, and it's more meat and noodles than broth! The deep bowl makes it easier to put veggies and sprouts in without overflowing I think, and look kind of swank compared to most pho places. They only provide the one napkin unless you ask for more. I got the 'I Love Pho' combo which has some cuts of everything, incl. the tripe and tendon. It had more chunks of tendon the bottom of the bowl than tripe or the other meats, but I never felt like there was a lack of meat. The ratio is definitely favorable, and it arrived at my table in under 10 minutes. One minor quibble is that the meat is a tad lean (which isn't bad per sé, just less mouth-feel as pho places that offer fatty cuts). The soup is not overly salty and thankfully didn't taste like it had been bubbling / simmered all day (no over cooked beef taste) and wasn't overpowered with onion overtones either. It's definitely a lighter, fresher pho than the ones in ID or U-District. Hm, other thoughts are that parking is pretty easy to get, the vibe is nice and not shabby, and the seats, while very cozily placed, didn't feel too claustrophobic thanks to the windows overlooking the downtown Mercer Island stretch. All in all a pretty good experience.

I'm new to this type of food so I'm probably not the best judge for this but I did enjoy it. Everything was fresh and the service was good. I could see myself coming back here for sure.

There are few things better than a bowl of steaming hot, immaculately flavored pork and shrimp wonton soup on a frigid Seattle evening. This place really does well in that department. But that's all. Their pho is okay, nothing spectacular. I tried the grilled pork skewers last night. There was too much fat and brown sugar going on in that dish. I couldn't finish. Service was horrible. I had to ask for my first glass of water to be filled to the top...and my second glass, too. WHY?! Why only fill it halfway? I have very limited restaurant options in Mercer Island, so I will definitely return for more bowls of wonton soup, but I would really love it if they didn't skimp on my water. -- UPDATE -- I've been back a few times for more wonton soup, some pho, and some papaya salad, and I have to say the customer service I've experienced here has been tons better. The female server who's always there is really good at what she does and even remembers my specifications. I don't even have to ask anymore! They deserve an additional 2 stars!

  • Eddie V.

Just ate the fried seafood plate. It was a lot for 11$. Also very tasty. Customer service is also great. Guy name John was so kool.

  • I M.

Poor/rude service. Good food. I would have given this place 5 stars had their service been better. Probably some of the rudest/apathetic people serving I have ever run across. Why do you even have a line for tips? I realize this is not a full service type restaurant, but you could at least act like you care. The food is good, but the attitude I could do without. I will probably not come back. I will go to a place that appreciates my business.

  • TaDao V.

This place has a pretty comprehensive menu for calling itself a pho shop. I actually ordered the egg noodles, because I love egg noodles and it looks like they did, too. I got mine with wonton and BBQ pork. The broth was spot on and the noodles well cooked. Wonton was adequately Vietnamese-y and not too Chinese'y. BBQ pork was super tender. I've never had it that tender, but hey it was delish. I made the mistake of getting the large bowl. It was gigantic. No one ever needs to eat that much in one sitting. The small bowls are pretty big already, but because the price difference was so minimal, I thought pho-ck it! Overall, everything was fresh and the flavors were well balanced. I would try it again. And maybe this time I won't get diarrhea from over-eating.

Tucked into an open strip-mall type shopping area in downtown Mercer Island, this little place is a great find! The staff are quick & efficient and the food even better. Too cold on this February afternoon to eat on the bamboo enclosed outside patio, but I'll surely be out there this summer eating under the banana trees! The interior is contemporary and nice-casual but quite small, so you may have to wait for a table (definitely worth the wait). Very authentic Vietnamese food! -Some of the best Pho I've had in a long time. The 'oodles' of noodles had chew, the broth had a lot of soul, the chicken plentiful and tasty, and the vegies crisp. The basil, peppers, lime and sprouts on the side added a beautiful freshness to the Pho that I have come to love. Be sure to order the small bowl, as even the small is gigantic and seemingly the equivalent of four bowls of soup anywhere else. My Pho was nice and hot -the perfect meal for such a cold day! I also had the spring rolls, which were freshly made with lettuce, shrimp, bean sprouts, mint, & vermicelli noodles, wrapped in rice paper and served with a delicious peanut sauce. I definitely recommend this little gem; and, as Arnold Schwarzenegger would say, 'I'll be back'...

    (4)
  • Dave L.

Pleasantly surprised by the variety outside of the pho - rice and meat dishes, noodles, rolls etc but not all Vietnamese (some thai too). A bit expensive. But good!

    (4)
  • Greg M.

I was turned on to pho a few years back and never looked back. I Love Pho is where I go for my fix. I usually just order take out and am always greeted with a smile and prompt pho. The only thing about pho I cannot get used to is the tendons, just can't get passed the texture. But all around its a great soup dish especially on a chilly rainy day. The restaurant is nice and cozy, a little small but not cramped. From the time I place the order and walk through their door my pho is ready. Gotta get dat pho!

    (4)
  • Samantha C.

I love it here. Best banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) I've ever had! Also, their chicken or tofu pad thai is delicious. The food comes out fast, fair prices and a big portion of what you order. It's a more modern pho place.

    (5)
  • Antonym N.

This is one of my favorite pho restaurants ever. I guess you can say it's very culture like but yet modern but it keeps culture there in the newer and advance buildings and construction. Yet again their sandwiches are the best I don't get it anywhere else. If you know the worker behind the kitchen, Tu, he is a hard working cook/prep back there and doesn't take a day off to keep the business running. Amazing people amazing food all the time.

    (5)
  • Sterling C.

This is the best of the three pho places on Mercer Island. However, the service leaves something to be desired and is the reason why I won't be giving this place any additional business. After complimenting the staff several times after each visit, I showed up 15 minutes before close one evening. I walked in and was rudely greeted by two staff members who acted irritated when I walked in. They said "Take out only". I said "No thank you" and "good bye" and haven't been back since. Not a good way to value repeat business and build clientele.

  • Kathy M.

I really need to find another Pho place in South Bellevue. $8 for a small or $9 for a large is insanely expensive. I've had much less expensive (and delicious) Pho in Seattle. I ordered a Vegetarian Tofu which tasted good, but nothing spectacular. We also bought Pad Thai which doesn't come in non-spicy and "1" is actually very spicy for those non-spicy-loving people. Some pro's: friendly staff and quick service. We went there for take-out at 5:30 pm on a Friday night and our order came out in less than 10 minutes (more like 6 or 8 minutes). It's clean and in a convenient location. On the lookout for another local Pho place...

I love Pho!!! The owners are super nice and so is the food. Everything I have had here is good. The beef banh mi is my favorite.

i arrived at the restaurant later than 20:00. but they still provide service. they are so nice.

    (4)
  • Linna S.

Nice and clean with outdoor patio dining. I've had the chicken pho twice and the broth is extremely flavorful. They give a generous amount however it is much pricier than the average pho anywhere else which is somewhat expected. After all... It is in mercer island.

  • Sam T.

I'm Viet...Pho is my people's dish... I just had it for the first time today...and I'd say I Love Pho Mercer Island is in my top 5... The noodles had chew, the broth had some soul, the meatballs were tasty, and the tendons were large...I would definitely recommend it and I will definitely be back... The place is cozy and you might have to wait to get a table BUT it is worth the wait... It is on the "Island" tucked away in a cozy shopping center area...good peoples and better food...

I was on an island and I was STARVING...2'oclock...missed breakfast...missed lunch. Something's gonna give- then in the corner of my eye, a green, neon sign. A sign from above that read, "I Luv Pho"- on a gloomy, cloudy, Friday- I Luv Pho too. At first glance- I was a little put off...$7 for a small bowl of Pho? What the PHO??? "But, I'm on an island- these are island prices yo", I told myself. Well, honestly it was worth it. I might even say one of the best bowls of Pho I've had in years. Great meat- the flank was very flavorful and the meat-to-soup-to-noodle ratio was amazing. Oodles of noodles folks, and plenty of meat. The broth was rich and flavorful and the basil was beautifully fresh- as were the sprouts...I mean not even a speck of brown on either. The serving dish was rather awkward- the bowl is rather tall, which made it a little more difficult to eat...I dunno, maybe I'm just an idiot. The staff was not very enthused or engaging- which is why the one star gets removed. I tried to strike up a little small talk at least, but wasn't getting it...the iPhone 4 strikes again!!! The inside decor is modern and tasteful, and the little eating area outside is pretty quaint with a banana tree and bamboo. Overall, I will definitely be making another stop out here- 'cause you never know what might happen when yer castaway on an island.

Great pho. I am definitely going back. They have very fresh ingredients. Friendly staff, not the most attentive but they are friendly and easy going. Great patio and laid back atmosphere.

Yummy food at nice price. The vegetables in the sandwich were fresh. The flavor was great in the other dishes. They were also nice to customize my order and still make it good. Going again.

My wife is a big fan and has been for quite some time. For me it is a quick drop in/out on way home for work. Food is good. Not the best but not the worst. I ordered take out tonight. They got most of the order right. Check yours before you leave! This is tonight's learning lesson. I ordered a small chicken pho and a large veggie pho with two pot sticker orders. Instead I got a small veggie pho and a large chicken pho with one pot sticker order. Too late to say anything when I got home.

I love pho os a great restaurant, if you feel hungry in the middle of the day its a nice place to stop by for something light.

  • Elisabeth H.

Pretty much...I left my food untouched. I took couple min scooping all the oil from my soup, and whenni tasted it it didn't have that pho taste. Not being rasist or anything but the food is more aquired for american taste not authentic asian taste.

Not bad. Banh mi is probably my favorite item on the menu

This place does pho well. Hefty servings of meat/tofu. Prompt service. Food was out in less than ten minutes. Only con is I love me some MSG and this place kinda tastes like its lacking.

Great authentic vietnamese food. My favorite is the lemongrass beef w/cold noodle

  • Lisa L.

I order spring rolls from I Love Pho on occasion. It's a nice, quick lunch. Yesterday, I called in my order, and the man who answered my call was brief but polite. I called back to add a second order for spring rolls, for my co-worker, and the second call the man (same person) was very short on the phone and sounded annoyed. The orders of spring rolls were okay but missing the bean sprouts. I love the fresh mint used in the spring rolls and the peanut sauce is good. But I am bummed at the service I get from this restaurant. It has definitely been spotty, but yesterday's experience was the worst yet. It will be a while before I order lunch from I Love Pho again.

  • Joyce J.

You will probably lose your love for pho after eating the pho at this place. I ordered the "I love pho" pho and it was very blend. We also ordered tempura shrimp which was more like coconut shrimp with questionable freshness. The service is friendly and it gets quite the crowd during lunch time. However, the food was rather plain and we lose our appetite half way through eating at this place.

    (2)
  • C J.

A SMALL bowl of seafood pho soup for over $11 with tax? No, thanks. Besides, the woman at the counter has a bad attitude. I walked in the other day to order a takeout and was taking a little bit of time to read through the menu and she looked irritated and said "you gotta order now" twice. Umm... how about "take your time and let me know when you're ready" instead? It wasn't like the restaurant was super busy as it was past the lunch hour. I won't be returning and in fact have been going to the other Vietnamese restaurant on the island instead.

I want to start off by saying, it is July and cold outside, where is the summer? I was just on my lunch break for lunch looking for warm food, so I decided to try I LOVE Pho. I wanted to try something that I have never had, so I went for the Won Ton Egg Noodle Soup. It was pretty busy, but then again it was around 12. I got a to go order, I am eating at my desk as I type this. My food is fantastic. My taste buds are on an acid trip. Why am I giving this place 4 stars and not 5? Because the service was crappy. There were 2 to go orders after my own, and they quickly received their food and left while I waited an additional ten minutes while my food sat on the counter wrapped up ready to go. In the future, if I see an order that may be mine, I might have to ask.

    (4)
  • Adam T.

Man, I LOVE I love Pho! This is a great Pho spot on the island, probably one of the best eateries on island. The pho broth is very flavorful, providing a stable base for whatever ingredients you choose to put in. The ingredients are always fresh, the service is quick and the prices are good. I'm sure one of these days i'll venture out and try a vermicelli bowl or other grilled delight, but the pho keeps me coming back.

    (5)
  • Jo P.

Pho was way too salty for my liking. Portions are small with very little meat in the "I Love Pho" Although, they will give you a ginormous serving of sauces with your fresh roll or spring roll order. Service was friendly. Forgot our crispy spring roll order, so they doubled it. After 2 dine-ins & 1 take out order, don't think I will be coming back even though its right across the street.

Whenever I come here, I get the same thing: tofu pho and Vietnamese coffee. It is very nice combination and the tofu is nicely fried and the chicken stock soup with the medley of soft spices makes it good. They serve the bean sprouts and herbs on the side, which is a nice touch, considering most places just dump everything in there whether you like it or not. I also like their vegetarian or shrimp spring rolls. They are wrapped densely and have fresh, not fishy or crunchy shrimp and it comes with a delectable peanut sauce. I also like their Vietnamese sandwiches, which come with a nice helping of beef and the vegetables come in a nice way, they layer ingredients to have a wonderful feeling as you chew on it. The downside is I tried their meatball soup and I came away thinking I could jump over to QFC and find the pre-made meatballs there. They were all the same size, same roundness, etc. Seriously, if a place can't be bothered to make their own meatballs, you have a problem. So I stick with what works. A one-trick dog is great when you're in the mood for it, and that's all I really care about. Thus I won't rave about it too much. Other good things: there's usually seating available and they have a nice patio in the summer months. There's ample parking in the area and you can always find a spot. The service is speedy enough I think. It is a family run place so don't expect to see super smiles all around. The teenager is obviously working there against his will / being pressured to work there to "support the family." The older lady (mother I presume?) is obviously under stress. Maybe a little cheering up would be good, so I hope they have good business.

  • Margaret S.

I have come here for lunch multiple times. Prices are good but service is consistently poor. Server gets your order, brings the food (which is quite fast), and then you never see them again. Don't refill your beverages, don't ask if you need anything. and when it comes time to pay the bill... the employees are sat on their phones like no one is around. I always have to get up and ask to pay so I can leave. If you want decent pho and have no where to be or no expectations of service, then this is the place for you!

  • J J.

I live DIRECTLY across the street from this place. Have been here numerous times. Safe to say more than most. Food is hit and miss. The pho: Depending on time of day, your soup could be lukewarm or hot. Other thai food menus are to be avoided. Service: The lady owner doesn't seem to care you exist. The younger guys working there much better. Experience: There was something in my pho that looked like a hair. Pointed it out to the woman owner who fished it out with a chopstick, looked at it, said it wasnt a hair but it must be a piece of cloth from an apron or something and then just walked away. Verdict: Go to Roberto's immediately next door, Qdoba or even Teriyaki just a couple of doors down. Only way pho places can differentiate is by customer service which this place doesn't rank high on.

people in mercer island need to get outside of mercer island. the reviews seem pretty inflated, and somewhat suspect. had a meeting nearby, and was excited about the high reviews but left disappointed and a bit annoyed. the food is about a 2.5 -- i had a vermicelli pork bowl, and the pork was fatty and chunky with little flavor. let me add "dry" to the list too. as noted in other reviews, the owner lady is plain mean with a permanent scowl on her face. is she mad to have customers? then the billing, $11 for a vermicelli bowl in a teriyaki type spot for lunch? high compared to other vietnamese joints. plus, they have corny signs everywhere saying "please pay cash with the high credit card fees" -- well, your prices are high so I have to pay with my credit card. overrated food, poor (mean) service, and just an annoying feel. to us outsiders who eat outside mercer island, you'll be disappointed. I'd recommend a different place.

I have been to this place several times over the past year. It has been on a steady decline over that year. If you show up and order takeout, they seem to roll their eyes at you. If you sit and order in the service seems to have become little if any. The food; it's hit or miss. the Chicken is often over cooked. Raw beef seems to be the only thing that, once cooked in the broth doesn't seem tough and chewy. Sorry to say, they used to have a good thing going, but seem to have lost steam over the past year. Its a shame, the first few times i was here it was pretty tasty.

Just OK. Food was decent, but not great. Staff was just kind of there, not rude, but certainly not helpful. I got dinner to go as take out, and it was oddly packed and difficult to sort out when I got home. Would be willing to try again, but not holding my breath.

I'm a huuuuge fan of pho!! I could eat it for breakfast, lunch & dinner!! So I've been going to I Love Pho for over a year now with the convenience of walking to the restaurant in under a minute. I have always ordered their "i love pho" on the menu, which is the combination of raw & well done beef, tendons, tripe & meatballs. The portion for both small and large are big and bigger. I always find their beef really fresh because I like the beef cooked rare.. The broth is either hit or miss, and is a bit sweet so I always ask for extra limes to balance it out. Prices on the menu could turn off some regular pho eaters who usually don't dine on the Mercer Island or the East side, but I don't mind it. They do not cheat you on the portion with prices they charge. Service? The lady owner who speaks English plus two young male waiters who barely speak much English but can always get the job done. Sometimes they don't seem attentive because they order, bring the food, then don't come back to the table until you are ready to pay. But one male waiter who's always more well dressed in his collar top and shining black leather shoes is really personable and attentive. Overall, I LOVE PHO!!!

I know how some Mercer Islanders like to think that they know there food joints, but think again. This place was poor service for a high price. The only thing that I enjoyed was the garlic shrimp. very tasty.

WOW this place was really authentic. I almost felt like I was in Westminster (LA) sippin' down some high-quality broth and chompin' on some fried egg rolls. Service is great here, and you can't beat the location- right in the heart of downtown Mercer Island. Prices were about a dollar more than I'm used to in LA but the presentation and service definitely made up for it. Good times for the belly.

I love pho, but I don't love this pho. When I'm on the island and in a pinch and wanting Pho, I'll go here. But the broth is too sweet and the prices could be better. If you're up for making the trek off the island (in either direction) head over to the Trahn Brother's and enjoy a cream puff with your pho (for fast service and under $5).

I ordered the cashew nut chicken and it is safe to say that I would not order from I Love Pho again. The rice was hard and the food was pretty bland.

I give the food-5 stars, service, depending who you get 3 or 4 stars, hence my 4 stars. I have tried most everything on the menu: pho, buns (vermicelli), rice dishes, stir fried noodles, appetizers, sandwiches, and even their bubble tea. Pros- pho-5 bun-5 Rice dishes-4 Noodles-4 App- fried rolls-5 Cons- Sandwiches-1 Dry meat, veggies weren't pickled well, not enough veggies and missing that "secret" sauce that makes Vietnamese sandwiches awesome. If you've ever had a GREAT one, you know what I mean. So, don't bother w/ the very overpriced sandwiches. For sandwiches, stick to ID district or Whitecenter. There's a really good one on 16th ave SW.

Been going here for a while, and I love the Pho/soup. They have the best imitation chicken (sounds gross? Try it.) and really delicious broth. Their Banh Mi sandwiches though? REALLYYYY disappointing. The bread is totally dry (supposed to be flaky, not dry), and the sandwich itself seriously lacks flavor. Had much better ones many times. And although their prices are sorta on the high side, I really, really love the soup (and other dishes on the menu). Lastly, what's going on with the new employees? New management? Everyone's taking vacation at the same time? Last weekend I called to order out during lunch time and it was like the person on the other line was totally caught off guard that anyone would be calling. Or, he hadn't been trained? It was so awkward, he had no idea what was going on. I had to repeat everything, and had to ask HIM when my order would be ready. I got there and one of the employees was eating and asked how he could help. I told him I had an order to go, and he and the other employee sort of argued about something.... completely confused about how to even ring up the order. So weird.

I walked in around 2PM for a late lunch thinking I can't go wrong with a great bowl of Pho; however little did I know about I love Pho on Mercer Island. Nobody was there to greet or seat me when I arrived, I had to ask for water and sauces several times after deciding to go and get my own water and sauces from another empty table. My spring rolls were rubbery and the peanut sauce was bland and my large bowl of Pho was full of noodles. Where was my meat and broth? I can understand when a sauce is a little dull in flavor or the Pho is a little off, but to also experience awful service... Please don't waste your time here.

The Seattle Pho-Natics club arrive at I Love Pho on June 14th at 4:00pm, in Mercer Island. The staff was great at accommodating us with our group of 11. Interior: The restaurant was very clean inside and the restrooms were very clean as well. One great thing was they do have an outside seating area! There was plenty of space outside for our 11 club members, plus additional seating for other people who wanted to sit outside. Needless to say we sat outside on that sunny Seattle day! Service: I have read a couple of reviews here and noticed some people saying the staff was slow and inattentive, however we did not find this the case at all! When we arrived, they were very quick to seat us outside, and our food was brought out very fast. The staff were very friendly and excited to see our club at their restaurant! Price: $7.35 for a small bowl and $8.35 for a large. A little more expensive then the "hole in the wall" Pho places, but very worth it! They do take credit/debit cards as well. Broth: The broth was very good! Had a lot of flavor. Not sure if they use MSG, but after I finished, I wanted more as it was really good! Selection: They have a very large menu! Their spring rolls were good, although more expensive than some Pho places ($4.50 for 2). They had some nice rice dishes, as well as other types of Vermicelli bowls. They did provide chili oil, which one of our members really likes with his Pho- a lot of Pho restaurants don't have the chili oil, so this was a treat! They do have a selection of beer and wine as well. The amount of jalapenos, sprouts, and Thai basil was plentiful. They also have vegetarian Pho as well. Location: I Love Pho is in Mercer Island, WA. The do have parking which was great! Score: As a general score from the club we give them a 8/10. 2 reasons: 2 of the members got the Vermicelli bowl, and they both said it was really dry, and "didn't have enough sauce in it." Those that got the chicken Pho, said the "chicken was really dry." Based on what I had, I would give them a 10/10. Great service, friendly staff, large menu, great Pho and parking gives them a A+ in my book! Thanks again I Love Pho!! I will definitely be back!!! Sean Hoops, The Seattle Pho-Natics President

One thing I've realized when visiting the northwest is that the food portions are all really big!!! And I Love Pho is no exception! Since I'm a huge pho fan, I had to order their namesake Pho dish which pretty much is your standard all in pho dish, but their small is literally the equivalent of a large in the northeast! Also their broth didn't taste or look greasy at all. If you love pho as much as i do, def pay them a visit!

The restaurant has a nice decor and an outdoor dining area. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai ($11) and small Pho ($7.5). The Pad Thai was good. It had nine good size shrimp. The dish was a tad bit greasy and very small portion. I've seen appetizers larger than that. The small bowl of Pho was actually decent size. The broth was very good, but they didn't give a lot of meat. Overall, it was a good place to eat. But it was expensive compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. Then again, it is in Mercer Island. If I'm in the area, I would eat there again. But I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there.

I went there yesterday. let me just say their service was horrible. I wanted to order sandwich along with my pho soup. They charge $4 for( to go) $5 for (dine in )if you order sandwich. I asked the waiter why but he had nerve to tell me because its hard to clean the mess of your sandwich. I was very surprised. Food didn't taste good either. I wouln't recommend this place to anybody i know. I will never go back there. As a result of their rude and unreasonable service, I left no tip at all.

I love all of the food, never had anything bad. The prices are very high compared to other pho restaurants. Sometimes the service is not that great and makes me feel like they really don't want me there! The sister restaurant in Factoria is better and the prices are lower.

The Pho here is simple, fast and delicious. This is a great place for a quick but satisfying lunch when you're in a hurry. Check it out!

I've always been partial to the sweet ribs really, but the pho is definitely good and one of the few convenient option in the immediate bellevue area. That said, if you've ever wondered why their broth is so good..... apparently they prepare that ONE full day in advance to let the flavors soak in and blend really well (hehe they let me back in their kitchen once). Definitely tasty stuff... so swing on by when you need your weekly pho fix.... cause as they say ... its good pho you.

ok ok ok!! I love I love pho in factoria.. that I give 4 stars.. still not 5.. it doesn't compare to the others pho establishments in seattle that are more authentic...... anyways... I have never had such horrible service in my life......... and my pho was given to me with a really heavy hand, and with no fixin's.... also when I asked about an appetizer I was wanting to try... she just told me and walked about.. gosh what a snob.... and when other people came in, she smiled and was really friendly.. really?? you can't even be nice to your people? never going to the one on the island anymore...
